Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and oversee construction projects from inception to completion.
- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with VDOT regulations and safety standards throughout all phases of the project.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to project specifications and drawings.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members, to ensure project alignment and address any issues promptly.
- Manage project delivery, ensuring that all milestones are met and quality standards are upheld.
- Prepare and present project reports and updates to management and stakeholders.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and budget overruns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management within heavy civil construction.
- Proven experience in planning, scheduling, and executing large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of VDOT compliance and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, budgets, and timelines.
